Seminars 2-08

“... so that one may walk in peace,”
Imi Lichtenfeld, founder of Krav Maga.

Avi Moyal, a co-director of the International Krav Maga Federation, came from Israel to led the first IKMF seminars in the Minneapolis area. Thierry Cimkauskas, director of the IKMF in Canada, came from his base in Montreal.

They taught a 7-hour civilian seminar on Feb. 24, 2008, at the Blaisdell YMCA in Minneapolis. Avi tested local instructor Gail Boxrud’s students at Training for Life after the seminar. A women’s seminar followed at the Sabes Jewish Community Center in St. Louis Park on Feb. 25. Then police officers from city, county, state and military departments around the state trained with Avi and Thierry on Feb. 26 at Fort Snelling.
